Strix Digital is a photo-retouching and post-production company based in Austin, Texas. When they came to me to work on their branding, they wanted to incorporate a Strix owl, which is a genus of owls with ties to ancient Greek mythology. I am a fifth year PhD student in the Computer Science department at UT Austin. My research interests include distributional semantics, grounded word meaning, textual inference and general natural language processing. My advisors are Katrin Erk. Stephen Rollnick provides consultancy and training on the subjects of motivation, change and motivational interviewing. He an Honorary Distinguished Professor at Cochrane School of Primary Care and Public Health. Cardiff University, with a research focus on good practice in efforts to promote change and behaviour change among patients, clients and the practitioners who serve them. Stephen is a co-founder of motivational interviewing.
